Take stock of the weight loss ingredients that are trending around the world

The top ten hot raw materials for fat reduction in terms of raw material utilization rate were black ginger polymethoxy-Flavone, resistant dextrin, inulin, ellagic acid, catechin compounds, isomaltodextrin, Tilia tilia of rose fruit, pueraria isoflavone, Vilil and β-soybean globulin, among which three were dietary fiber and seven were plant extracts.

1, black ginger polymethoxy flavonoid

Black ginger extract is a hot raw material that has emerged rapidly in recent years. In 2017, Marushun Pharmaceutical and DHC were the first to enter the market, claiming that the product mainly aims to "maintain muscles that begin to decline with age", "improve walking ability of middle-aged and elderly people" and "reduce belly fat". Because its core functions accurately correspond to Japan's aging society and young people's appeal for weight loss, the market of black ginger extract has developed rapidly. In 2019, the market of black ginger extract was only 200 million yen, and in 2020, it increased 11 times to 2.2 billion yen, and it is expected to reach 10 billion yen in 2021.

The signature ingredient of black ginger extract is 5, 7-dimethoxy-flavone, a flavonoid with strong biological activity. It can accelerate metabolism and blood circulation, thus acting as an energy expend, especially against abdominal fat (visceral fat and subcutaneous fat). At the same time, it has been proved that it can also maintain the walking ability of middle-aged and elderly people decreased due to the increase of age.

2. Dextrin resistance

Resistant dextrin belongs to water-soluble dietary fiber. It is a kind of low-calorie glucan extracted and refined from indigestible components of baked dextrin by industrial technology. It contains more than 85% high dietary fiber and has the characteristics of natural, high water solubility, heat resistance and acid resistance, no odor, moisture resistance and easy processing. At present, it has been widely used in all kinds of beverages, dairy products, convenience food and candy snacks.

Itoen's "Vegetables of the Day" vegetable juice, which contains 30 kinds of vegetables, claims to have the triple effect of "inhibiting the rise of postmeal neutral fat", "inhibiting the rise of postmeal blood sugar" and "lowering blood pressure". The core ingredients are dextrin resistance and GABA.

3. Inulin

Inulin is a naturally soluble fiber obtained from the roots of plants such as chicory or Jerusalem artichoke. It is often added to processed foods to increase fiber content, bulk and sweetness. Inulin can provide a sense of satiety, increase the number of intestinal bifidobacterium to improve intestinal flora, reduce the content of triglycerides in the blood, and reduce glycemic level after meals, which plays a certain role in blood sugar management and weight management.

4. Ellagic acid

Ellagic acid, a dimeric derivative of gallic acid, is a Polyphenol dilactone that is a natural phenolic Antioxidant found in numerous fruits and vegetables, including blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, pomegranates, goji berries and other plants. Ellagic acid in Japanese diet products is extracted mainly from African mangoes.

Ellagic acid reduces new adipocyte generation and fatty acid synthesis in adipose tissue, while reducing triglycerides and fatty acid synthesis in liver and increasing fatty acid oxidation levels. Studies have shown ellagic acid can help obese people lose weight, waist circumference, body fat, visceral fat and blood triglycerides, and reduce BMI levels.

5. Catechin compounds

Catechin compounds are the main functional components in tea, accounting for 12%-24% of tea dry weight. Catechin compounds in tea tree mainly include eight monomers: catechin, epicatechin, galligallocatechin, epigallocatechin, catechin gallate, epicatechin gallate, galligallocatechin gallate and epigallocatechin gallate.

Catechin, epicatechin and epicallocatechin gallate are mainly used in the Japanese market. The mechanism of weight loss includes inhibition of food intake desire by enhancing fatty acid oxidation in human liver; Inhibiting the absorption of gastrointestinal nutrients by inhibiting gastrointestinal digestive enzymes and forming complexes with specific transport factors on the bristles of intestinal cells; By inhibiting the enzyme related to fat synthesis, regulating the body's fat and energy metabolism, increasing the body's energy consumption.

6. Isomaltodextrin

Isomaltodextrin (Isomaltodextrin) is a novel, highly branched soluble alpha-glucan with low degree of polymerization (DP). This glucan partially escapes digestion in the small intestine and can be fermented by bacteria in the large intestine, thus acting as a prebiotic to help regulate intestinal microbiome and defecation. Improve immunity and control blood sugar, and suppress appetite.

7. Piril extract

Pilil is an Ayurvedic herb, which is very good at detoxifying pharynx, relieving cough and dysentery, nourishing blood and stopping bleeding. Gallic acid, which is extracted from the fruit of Pellel, inhibits α-glucosidase from converting disaccharides into monosaccharides, thus preventing the absorption of sugars, inhibiting the absorption of fats, and inhibiting the rise of blood sugar after meals.

8. Pueraria isoflavones

Pueraria pueraria is rich in isoflavones, which can inhibit fat generation in liver, promote fat decomposition in white adipose tissue, and promote heat generation in brown adipose tissue, thus achieving anti-obesity and anti-fatty liver effects. In a 2011 randomized, double-blind pilot study, adult men with a BMI>24 who took 300 mg of pueraria extract daily for 8 weeks significantly reduced body weight and BMI, as well as overall fat area. Pueraria isoflavone is especially suitable for people with high visceral fat, fatty liver and beer belly.

9. Tilia roselle

"tiliroside" from rose hip Tiliroside, a patented component of Morishita Rendani, has the effect of promoting fat metabolism and reducing body fat. This ingredient has little bitterness and astringency, so it will not affect the taste of the applied products. It can be added to a variety of common foods and drinks, and only a small amount (0.1 mg) is needed to have the effect.

10. Beta with soy globulin

Soybean has high nutritional value, its protein accounted for about 40% of soybean grain. Soy protein has a balanced amino acid composition that is close to the ratio of amino acids in the ideal protein pattern. It is a high-quality plant protein source and can be used as a meal replacement material to Increase Satiety, replenish energy and promote muscle growth. β-soy globulin accounted for about 30% of the protein in soy. In one study, obese individuals (BMI 25 and less than 30) who consumed beta and daidaiglobulin at 2.3 g/ day for more than 12 weeks experienced reductions in BMI and blood triglyceride levels. A continuous intake of 4.6g/day of beta with daidzein for 20 weeks or longer reduced visceral fat.
