Pueraria root extract - Puerarin CAS 3681-99-0
Puerarin can dilate coronary artery and cerebrovascular, reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, inhibit platelet aggregation, reduce blood viscosity and improve microcirculation. It can pass the blood-brain barrier and is mainly distributed in the heart, liver, kidney and plasma. This product is widely distributed in the body, fast elimination, not easy to accumulate. Clinical application for occlusive cerebrovascular disease, coronary heart disease, fundus disease, inner ear disease and hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes.

Pharmacological effects of puerarin
1. Effect of improving microcirculation in mice, a local infusion of 0.5% puerarin in advance can contain the arterial constriction, slow velocity and reduced flow induced by adrenal (ADR), whereas a local infusion of 1% puerarin after the local infusion of ADR caused microcirculation disturbance obtained similar results.
2. Effect on hemorheology Puerarin can reduce "JG" value, whole blood specific viscosity, erythrocyte electrophoresis time, fibrin and blood ring backlog.
3. Effects of increasing cerebral blood flow Pulse ultrasonic Doppler and transcranial ultrasonic Doppler were used to measure the intracranial and external vessels and hemodynamics of anesthetised dogs simultaneously. It was observed that a small dose of puerarin did not reduce blood perfusion pressure, but could slow down the flow velocity of the middle cerebral artery and the anterior cerebral artery and increase cerebral blood flow.
4. Increasing coronary blood flow and protecting myocardial ischemia Puerarin has an obvious role in dilating coronary vessels, which can dilate normal and painful coronary vessels.
5. Inhibition of platelet aggregation Puerarin can inhibit platelet aggregation in humans and animals induced by adenoxis diphosphate (ADP)
