PS(Phosphatidylserine) is included in the food (non-drug) list of Japan Food and Drug HBM, and passed the individual review of food additives on February 5, 2010.

PS(Phosphatidylserine) was added to the New Resource Food catalog by the China Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) on November 1, 2010, allowing it to be treated as a new resource food.
